Enroll in the Pre-Authorized Utility Bill Payment (PUP) program and have your utility bill payments automatically withdrawn from your bank or financial institution.

  • You or your designated agent can enroll in the PUP program at any time.
  • If you are currently enrolled in our PUP program and you wish to complete and submit a Designate Mailing Request Form to have an agent receive the utility bills from the City, your enrollment in the PUP program will be cancelled.

Program Information

You must complete an application for each property you are applying for.

Step 1

Pay the utility bill you have just received.

Step 2

Read the Pre-Authorized Debit Agreement and complete all required fields on the application form including signatures and the full date (YYYY-MM-DD).

Step 3

Attach a void cheque or complete the account information section for each application. Line of credit accounts, credit card cheques or foreign funds cheques cannot be used for this program.

Step 4

Submit your completed application by mail or fax:

Once enrolled, you will receive written notification of your acceptance in the PUP program. If a balance is owing, the letter will outline your payment withdrawal schedule.

If your application is incomplete, your form will be returned to you along with an explanation of why it was not processed.

To update or change your banking/financial institution information, to send signed written notice and a new void cheque (or facsimile copy) to the City at least 15 days before your next withdrawal date.

  • You will receive written notice that your change of banking information request has been processed.

Line of credit accounts, credit card cheques or foreign funds cheques cannot be used for pre-authorized payments.

To cancel your enrollment send signed written notice to the City at least 15 days before your next withdrawal date.

  • form is available for cancelling your enrollment in the program.
  • Once your request is processed you will receive written notice that you have been removed from the program.
  • This payment plan is not transferable to another property.

You must immediately pay the outstanding balance in full to avoid missing the loss of discount.

Charges

If any of your pre-authorized payments do not clear through your financial institution, the City will charge you an administrative fee, you will lose your discount and you will also be automatically removed from the pre-authorized program and will have to reapply for program.
