Highway Traffic Act Regulations and Fines

Ontario Highway Traffic Act regulates how vehicles are used on Ontario roads. Bicycles are considered vehicles as part of the Act.

Costs – costs are payable upon conviction for the purposes of subsection 60 (1) of the Provincial Offences Act

Per Section 56, the Demerit Point System is for the regulation of motor vehicles; not for cyclists.
