The City of Toronto is planning several road safety improvements that will be carried out as part of upcoming road reconstruction, road resurfacing and watermain replacement work on Symes Road, Orman Avenue and Hilldale Road. Work is now expected to start in 2023 due to additional slope stability assessments that were required on Symes Road in order to obtain the required Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) permit for work in the area.
Once complete, this project will improve conditions for people walking, cycling and driving. A Construction Notice with detailed information about construction will be mailed to area residents and businesses before the work begins.
