Arts, music and movie nights in Toronto’s parks can be booked for free, and these bookings can be completed in less than a week if you are booking one of our pre-approved locations.
Please wait until you have confirmed your booking before advertising your event. A $29.00 cancellation fee will apply to all events cancelled with less than 1 week written notice.
You are required to have insurance. A one-time insurance policy is available through City of Toronto for music events and movie nights. These range from $25 to $100 and is based on the number of participants.

Pay the applicable fee to confirm your booking. An insurance fee may also be required.
If there is a designated firepit in your park, it is inspected by Fire Services every year and can be booked easily.
If your park does not have a designated firepit, an additional form, inspection and fee will be required.
Access to land for ceremonies is an inherent right of Indigenous communities. First Nations, Inuit and Métis community members can book a site for a sacred fire at a City-owned park. Two designated sites have been created for fire and community safety but other non-designated sites may be booked as well.
Please be respectful of sacred fires taking place, and do not interrupt or take photos/video without permission. For more information, visit the Indigenous Affairs Office.
There is no more availability for November and December 2023 party bookings.
Party bookings for January and March begin October 23, 2023.
Bookings are available on Saturday and Sunday only during times indicated in the following Packages. Packages are $212.16 each. Prices are subject to change without notice.

To book a gymnasium, kitchen or multi-purpose room in your local community recreation centre:
booking fees range from free to $400 per hour.
The listing for each centre includes contact information, as well as a facilities tab that outlines the rooms, kitchens, gymnasiums and other facilities available for booking.
Kidstown is the only water park operated by the City of Toronto and has three picnic areas for birthday parties and other events.
Each picnic area seats 25 people.

Outdoor ovens can be reserved by groups hosting an event or program or by individuals for their own use.

General liability insurance naming the City of Toronto as an additional insured, with a minimum of $2 million coverage, is required. If the applicant does not have this insurance, they may be able to purchase coverage. Visit Booking Fees for Social Gatherings.
Payment is required in full before a permit will be issued.
At least one member of the group who attends the event must be trained on the proper use of an outdoor oven. If you don’t want to operate the oven at their event, you can hire staff at your own cost to operate the oven.
If food will be served and/or sold to members of the public, you must meet all safe food preparation and handling requirements set out by Toronto Public Health.

City parks, conservatories and recreation centres are shared spaces that are meant to be enjoyed by all. Please make sure you respect the privacy, safety and accessibility of other patrons while you are capturing that perfect shot.
Advanced booking is required for commercial or formal photography like
where the set-up, equipment or staging requires exclusive use of space or inhibits the use of the space by other visitors.
