With the goal of improving the health of local pollinator populations, which support resilient ecosystems and urban biodiversity, a draft Pollinator Protection Strategy has been developed. The strategy identifies six priorities and a series of proposed actions.

We are grateful to the nearly 7,000 people that participated in the public consultation activities and took the time to share their thoughts with us. Feedback received through the public consultation process has been overwhelmingly positive and supportive of pollinator protection initiatives in Toronto. The draft strategy will be revised based on this feedback. We are aiming to deliver a final strategy for Council approval in early 2018.
