Now available - 2012 Early Learning Transition Capital Funding
Non-profit child care operators with a current service contract for fee subsidy can apply for a grant of up to $50,000 to cover the capital costs of reconfiguring to serve children aged 0 to 4 years.
The deadline for applications has been extended to May 25, 2012.
Note: Child care centres located in schools are not eligible for Early Learning Transition Capital Funding at this time.
Thisinformation sheet regarding Before- and After-School Program options for children attending Full-Day Kindergarten has been developed jointly by Toronto Children's Services, the Toronto District School Board, and the Toronto Catholic District School Board.

September 2014 Service Level Projections:
Children's Services has completed an extensive analysis that projects the service levels in the child care system when children 4 and 5 years old enrol in full-day kindergarten.
The Toronto Child and Family Advisory Network brings together community members and professionals from the fields of Health, Early Learning and Care, Early Identification and Intervention and Family Support to plan and improve the system of services for children and families. This new network will begin meeting in January 2012.
Child & Family Outcomes Framework The framework describes common outcomes for children, families, communities and service delivery and builds on the City's long history of outcome development.
Early Learning
The Early Learning Program (ELP) is a Ministry of Education initiative that provides a full day early learning experience for 4 and 5 year olds. The City is working closely with the Province and school boards on implementing the ELP while promoting the broader vision for Early Learning. Learn more
Minor Capital Health & Safety Funding Program
Children's Services is re-launching the Health and Safety funding
program. Effective March 2011, applications for Health & Safety funding will be accepted from
child care centres, family resource programs and special needs agencies that have a current
service contract with the City of Toronto.
