Important information about the H1N1 flu virus As part of the City of Toronto's response to the H1N1 flu virus, the City continues to focus on pandemic preparedness and will adapt our response as the situation evolves. We have an integrated corporate influenza pandemic plan to guide us, with plans in place for all levels of alert. Toronto Public Health and the Office of Emergency Management continue to work with their provincial and GTA counterparts and external partners to monitor H1N1 as the situation evolves.

Toronto Public Health provides updated information about the H1N1 flu virus regularly. The Toronto Public Health Plan for an Influenza Pandemic includes a planning guide for day nurseries.

Do your part to stop the spread of germs:
  1. Wash or sanitize your hands frequently.
  2. Cough or sneeze into a tissue.
  3. If you don't have a tissue, sneeze or cough into your sleeve or arm, not your hands.
  4. Stay home if you aren't feeling well.

Where can I get more information?
