Corrections to your Utility Bill Certain water customers received utility bills in 2011 that were based on 2010 water rates instead of the correct 2011 rates. Errors in the rates affected only a portion of 2011, and apply to customers that have metric water meters that are located in the former municipality of York, and certain customers that are billed on a flat rate basis located in the former City of Toronto and parts of Etobicoke.
Beginning June 14, 2012, affected customers will receive an adjustment on their next regular utility bill to reflect the corrected rates for 2011 water usage. In order to provide customers extra time to pay any re-billed amounts, the due date for the next regularly scheduled utility bill will be extended by 30 days.
