Hundreds of the City’s parks and recreation centres have a variety of spaces that can be booked for different events or rehearsal space.

If your gathering or event includes:

  • serving food to the public
  • amplified sound (speakers, megaphone)

The City also offers several outdoor park locations that are pre-approved for booking Arts, Music and Movie Nights.

Toronto Public Library (TPL) branches offer cultural spaces across the city. TPL has three theatres which have production equipment that may be suitable for rehearsals and ticketed shows as well as five libraries that have premium rental venues.

TO Live, an agency of the City of Toronto, operates seven theatres and various adjacent spaces across three venues. The three venues also offer rehearsal spaces for rent.

Harbourfront Centre

The Harbourfront Centre can accommodate events of all sizes, from a 350 person capacity theatre to the 1,000 seat outdoor concert stage, all located in the heart of Toronto’s downtown waterfront.

It’s OK* Studios

It’s OK* Community Arts operates a City-owned space at 468 Queen St W. The 10,000 square-foot cultural hub is an independent Black-led and operated interdisciplinary arts space.
