The City is collaborating with the Friends of High Park Zoo, a non-profit community group, to raise funds to reconstruct the Deer Pen Road pedestrian trail, install additional seating and shade structures, and create new gardens and plant trees.
Since 1893, High Park Animal Display has been a popular year-round destination for visitors to High Park. The animal attraction is free to the public and welcomes over 600,000 visitors each year. The attraction offers educational opportunities for people of all ages. Visitors can learn about bison, llamas, peacocks, reindeer, Highland cattle, Barbary and mouflon sheep, yak, capybaras, emus, and Emden geese.
