City Planning’s 2018 Annual Report highlights achievements over the past year and identifies work program priorities moving forward. This initiative is an outcome of the continued implementation of our 2013-2018 Strategic Plan which calls for an annual report to Council/Committee.
In 2018, City Planning steered transformative city building projects at both the city-wide and local level. Using the framework of the Official Plan, the Division provided objective advice and recommendations to Council that were informed by extensive public consultation, research, and analysis. In 2018, the several city building studies were conducted across Etobicoke York, North York, Scarborough, and Toronto and East York and made significant progress on two areas of focus: housing and mobility.
