Applications submitted on or after May 1, 2022 are required to meet Version 4 of the Toronto Green Standard. Tier 1 performance measures must be met and compliance is reviewed through the planning approval process. Applications pursuing the voluntary Toronto Green Standard Development Charge Refund Program must meet the program requirements in addition to Tier 1. Low-Rise Residential Version 4

Residential development less than 4 storeys with a minimum of 5 dwelling units.

Mid to High-Rise Residential & Non-Residential Version 4

Residential apartment development 4 storeys and higher and all Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) developments.
