Ways to License Your Pet

All dogs and cats owned in Toronto must be licensed and wear a tag. The licence must be renewed every year. *Note – if you’ve lost your tag and you need it replaced, please contact us at 416-338-7387. This cannot be done online.

Fill out a Pet Licence Application and send it with a cheque, payable to Treasurer, City of Toronto to:

In Person

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, we’re not able to offer this service in-person at this time. Please obtain your pet’s licence online, by phone or by mail. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
