    • Participated in Resident engagement and capacity building with the HOWDI app platform
    • Engaged and provided capacity building opportunities for 1 local community animator from each of the top 5 local language groups (Spanish, Vietnamese, Somali, Urdu and Arabic)
  • Economic Opportunities: Developed Integrated Local Labour Market Planning
  • Participation in Civic Decision-Making: Obtained neighbourhood data and examine public policy impacts

2017 Priority Actions:

  • Healthy Lives: Raised mental health awareness and accommodation across public services in the community by promoting an inclusive framework to reduce stigma
  • Participation in Civic Decision-Making:
    • Implemented a monthly series of workshops, with funders, on grant-writing and funding resources for local organizations
    • Held community consultation meetings to strengthen connections between local organizations while identifying future capital project possibilities
