Ever wanted to star in your own scene? Ever wanted to write a story with your friends? What if you could do both – on the spot! Improvising is a great acting tool that gets you creating characters and scenes quickly and confidently without a script led by veteran improviser, Phatt Al. Improv for Teens instills the fundamentals of improvisation so teens can learn and laugh with each other and build hilarious scenes from thin air. This class is great for advancing communication skills, learning to follow instincts and increasing self-confidence.

Explore the magic of augmented reality in this workshop that will cover an introduction to concepts and experimental activities in fun ways that help you understand how augmented reality fits into the future of media. Learn how to use videos or GIFs sourced online and from your personal archives to attach them to images using free online software (sign-up required).

Requirements for course: A computer and a smart device (phone, tablet, or iPad) for viewing. Participants must download the Artivive app (free) and sign-up for a free account online. This will be facilitated in the workshop and no previous experience is required.

Reignite your senses through fun and interactive exploration of the sounds that surround us. Learn some fun facts about the science of sound and our relationship with sounds in our environment. We’ll be stretching our ears by closing our eyes and turning our cameras off and playing sound charades, creating sound-stories and sharing field recordings.

Missed classes on the part of the student: Make-up classes or account credits will not be provided.

Due to instructor emergencies/illness: Make-up class provided. If a make-up class is provided, no refunds or account credits will be issued.

Inclement weather: Make-up class provided. Every effort to contact students will be made. Students are encouraged to call for information.

Statutory holidays: Make-up class provided. Please Note: if a make-up class is provided, refunds or credits will not be provided.

Withdrawals, refunds and credits:

All registration cancellations/withdrawals must be initiated in writing prior to the start of the workshop’s second class. No refunds or credits will be considered after this date. Withdrawals will be prorated based on the date of the withdrawal, not based on attendance in the program. A $12 administration fee will be deducted per person, per workshop for all refunds, withdrawals and credits.
