The Assembly Hall uses Cisco Webex Meetings for online classes and workshops. A few days before the class start date, the Webex Meeting invite containing instructions on how to join the class/workshop is sent.

Historically beading is an important part of Indigenous culture. It was a means of creating documents between nations. Today beading is used in many forms and many techniques to create jewelry, regalia and many other items. In this workshop you will learn the basics of loom beading to create keychains or bracelets. Once you learn how to read loom patterns you will be able to create your own patterns and designs. Cost includes material kit and mail out of kit. In this workshop you will learn a modern method of creating a dreamcatcher and learn about legends from various first nations. Our ancestors from all over the world have their own basket making techniques. Learn how to pick, sort and soak White Pine needles and use them to create Ojibwa hand coiled baskets. You will also learn a basic sewing technique to create beautiful patterns on your basket. Possibilities are endless. Withdrawals will be prorated based on the date of the withdrawal, not based on attendance in the program. A $12 administration fee will be deducted per person, per workshop for all refunds, withdrawals and credits.
