In addition to providing access to government-held information, the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act contains a privacy scheme with standards for the collection, use, disclosure, retention and destruction of personal information held by governments.

Our office will investigate and respond to your complaint on a confidential basis.
Upon receipt of a complaint, the Commissioner assigns a compliance investigator to review the facts of the complaint and determine if the City has complied with the privacy provisions of the Act.
