  Mel Lastman Square
   

Toronto Parks, Forestry & Recreation highlights North York's diverse communities by featuring special events that iclude music, art, dancing, theatre, food and sports. Special events are planned for every season.

Mel Lastman Square has 20,000 square feet of open space, icluding a garden court, outdoor amphitheatre, wading pavilion, fountains and reflecting pool. A multitude of events may be featured within the square. The outdoor amphitheatre can accommodate more than 600 people who can be seated in permanent, raised, concrete bleachers and up to 3,000 spectators in total. Mel Lastman Square has the facilities and staff to meet the community's needs. For permit information and assistance with special events call 416-338-3343.
