Ordering Digital Image Reproductions

Image Reproduction Requests – the deadline for guaranteed completion of orders by December 25 was December 5. New orders will not be completed until the new year.

You can order copies of photographs and other archival records by using our online system (for digitized material) or by using a paper form (for non-digitized material).

Ordering Online

Digitized copies of photographs, maps, documents, etc. can be ordered and paid for online. Learn how to order photographs online. A valid e-mail address is required.

Ordering With a Paper Form

To order copies of non-digitized photographs, maps, documents, etc. send a completed image reproduction request form to us. Learn how to use the image reproduction request form. You are responsible for making sure that your order includes accurate citations for the items you want to copy.

Fees & Technical Specifications

All copying fees must be paid in advance. After your order is placed, you will receive an invoice by e-mail allowing you to make a secure electronic payment using AMEX, Visa, or Mastercard. Learn about the technical specifications for digital images.

The Archives can provide reproductions of photographs and other archival materials, subject to the Copyright Act. See copyright guidelines for researchers. Permission is not required to use photographs in the public domain or those for which the City of Toronto holds copyright.
