Participate in a Budget consultation meeting with the Budget Committee Chair, other Members of Council and senior City staff. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and learn about this year’s budget process and financial challenges.

Meet with your neighbours or add a Budget conversation to your next community group or organization’s meeting and ask participants to complete the survey. A Community Discussion Guide will be available soon to help shape your conversations.

The results of the consultations will inform decision making at the City and support ongoing discussions with the Province of Ontario and Government of Canada to build a financial future for Toronto.
They will be presented to the Budget Committee when the 2026 Budget launches on January 8, 2026 and accompany the Budget Committee’s recommendations for the Mayor’s proposed budget, which will be released by February 1, 2026.
More opportunities to get involved in the 2026 Budget process start in January with telephone townhalls. You can also write to members of the Budget Committee, your local Councillor and Members of Council, attend your local Councillor’s Budget Townhall and speak to members of the Budget Committee on January 20 and 21, 2026.
