My Child Care Account provides a convenient and secure way for families to manage their Child Care Fee Subsidy using their smartphone, tablet or personal computer.

Before creating a My Child Care Account, you’ll need to call and get an Access Code. You’ll also need to know your Client File Number.

Call 416-338-8888 (Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) to confirm your information and receive your Access Code. Then, complete the steps below within the next 48 hours.

Part 1: Create your City of Toronto Login

You can watch this video on How to Create a City of Toronto Login. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to My Child Care Account and select “Create Account”.
  2. Enter your email address and create a username and password.
  3. Follow the instructions on screen to verify your email with a one-time PIN.
  4. On the “Select Your Service” screen, select “My Child Care Account”.
  5. Log in with the username and password you just created.

Part 2: Link your My Child Care Account

  1. After logging in, enter your Client File Number and Access Code.
  2. Use the “Submit” button to activate your My Child Care Account.

    You can log in to My Child Care Account anytime with your username and password. Use the “Log in” button on this page or go to toronto.ca/mychildcareaccount.

    If you have forgotten your username or password, go to My Child Care Account and select “Log In”. Then, select the “Forgot Username?” or “Forgot Password?” option.

    If you need assistance with any other issues, call 416-338-8888 from Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    You may be asked to use the generic document upload function in My Child Care Account to provide supporting documentation in some circumstances such as:

    • For your first eligibility assessment
    • To provide verification of changes like a new address
    • If your caseworker requests you to provide documentation

    Before you upload any documents:

    • Make sure the file(s) you want to upload do no exceed 10 mb. The file can be a photo, screenshot, scan, or PDF.
    • Ensure important information is readable (dates, names, etc.)
    1. Log into your My Child Care Account
    2. Click “Go to My Documents”
    3. Choose the category of the document you want to upload by clicking the drop-down menu (e.g. address, employment, income, etc.)
    4. Select the type of document you want to upload (e.g. lease agreement, employment letter, CRA notice of assessment)
    5. To attach the document, select “Browse”
    6. Once you find the file you want, select “Open”. The filename will then show as attached
    7. Tick the checkbox to certify the information is correct and select “Submit for Review”
