MyToronto Pay will no longer be in service as of June 2, 2025. If you have recently received an email about MyToronto Pay deactivation, this is an official communication from the City of Toronto.
Follow the steps below to ensure your pre-authorized payments continue to be withdrawn.

If you enrolled in MyToronto Pay pre-authorized payments, those pre-authorized payments will no longer be withdrawn after May 16, 2025 and you must enrol in the City’s pre-authorized payments following the steps below to continue payments.

If you have already enrolled in the City’s pre-authorized payments, you do not need to re-enrol and the option to enrol will not show up when you sign in to the Property Tax or Utility Account Lookup.

Next Steps for MyToronto Pay Customers

  • Download and save any past bills from MyToronto Pay that you may need before June 2, 2025.
  • Ensure that you have a recent utility and property tax bill if you wish to sign in to eBilling as of April 25, 2025 to view your property tax or utility bill account.
  • To set up or continue pre-authorized payments for your property tax and utility bills, enrol in pre-authorized payments using the instructions below.

How to Enrol in Pre-Authorized Payments

Enrolling in pre-authorized payments will ensure that your property tax and utility payments are processed on time and prevents missed payments. You can set up or re-enrol in pre-authorized payments using the Property Tax and Utility Account Lookups.

Sign in using the information from your property tax or utility bill when prompted. An option to enrol in pre-authorized payments will be available after you have signed in.

After signing up for pre-authorized payments, you will receive a confirmation email. Pre-authorized payments will be withdrawn from your bank account on the due date.

The option to enrol in pre-authorized payments will not be visible within the Property Tax or Utility Account Lookups for accounts that are not eligible for pre-authorized payments. Ineligible accounts include:

  • Accounts already enrolled in the City’s pre-authorized payments
  • Accounts registered with a mortgage company handling property tax payments

If you prefer not to enrol in pre-authorized property tax and utility payments, you can explore other payment methods or visit a Tax and Utility payment counter at City Hall or a civic centre to make payments.

eBilling Customers

If you are enrolled in the City’s eBilling program, you will continue to receive emails about your bills. MyToronto Pay eBilling customers will remain enrolled in the City’s eBilling service and will receive notifications from ebillingtoronto@city.toronto.ca.

As of April 25, 2025, eBilling customers must sign in at the Lookup tool to retrieve their bills. You will need the information on your property tax bill or utility bill to sign in and access your bills.

Managing Payments for Multiple Properties

The City’s eBilling and pre-authorized payment enrolment is limited to a single enrolment per property. Each property tax and utility account must be enrolled and accessed individually. Owners of multiple properties will need to enrol each property separately.

You can access individual accounts through the Property Tax Lookup or the Utility Account Lookup. To confirm that a payment has been processed, check “Account Status” in the Property Tax Lookup or “Previous Billing/Payment Details” in the Utility Account Lookup. Repeat the process for each property and bill type as needed.
