The film also explores the role Canada played as "Freedom's Land," and the complex network of sympathizers and safe houses stretching from Philadelphia to Southern Ontario that provided the road to freedom. Directed by Laine Drewery and edited by Geoff Matheson the film is a production of 90th Parallel Productions Ltd in association with Rogers Broadcasting Limited and WNEDTV Buffalo/Toronto. Afterward, President of the Ontario Black History Society, Rosemary Sadlier, will read passages from and discuss her new book, Harriet Tubman: Freedom Seeker, Freedom Leader.
