Summer Camp registration for children ages 5 to 12 is now available at Toronto History Museums.


Toronto History Museums and the Cultural Centres offer dozens of high-quality and stimulating camps for children 4 to 17 years of age. City camps are conveniently located across the city, are safe and staffed by experienced and trained counsellors, and offer topics and experiences for a range of cultures, interests and communities. To register, create a Recreation Program account.

Children aged 8 to 13 experiment and create at Cedar Ridge, a historic 1912 mansion nestled within a picturesque garden setting, where daily outdoor play is enjoyed. Join us for fun-filled days of hands-on activities designed and led by a team of year-round educators. Campers will bake and taste Victorian-inspired recipes in our historic kitchen, make unique crafts and learn new skills throughout the week. Campers get the chance to tend the kitchen garden, and use some of the herbs and produce in their cooking. Kids will be inspired by this historic, mid-19th century Inn in a variety of specialty drama, baking and cooking camps. Camps make the most of the Inn’s fascinating history as an tavern, farm and community hub and its unique resources and programming including a weekly farmers’ market, outdoor bake oven, working open hearths and strong tradition of performance, music and dance. Kids are inspired by Spadina’s beautiful historic setting, with acres of gardens, green space and orchards, as well as a mansion restored to the 1920s and 30s. The one of a kind camps for ages 8 to 12 explore art and photography, with themes that include everything from the first movie monsters to Salvador Dali. Campers are immersed in early 20th century art forms and work with various media to create their own exhibits for family and friends to enjoy. Children can spend the day at Fort York National Historic Site, in the heart of downtown Toronto. Discover what life was like in an authentic War of 1812-era fort. Hands-on activities will include “falling in” for soldiers’ drill, cooking in our historic kitchen, learning about 19th century music, and playing historic games. Campers should bring a reusable water bottle, peanut-free snacks and a lunch. We have acres to explore, so please dress for outdoor play.
