* *Gibson House Museum is Open!
* *

During the construction of Menkes Gibson Square, Gibson House Museum will be open and ready to welcome you for programs, special events and tours. Access to the museum has changed. Please follow these instructions and check the map for a safe and efficient arrival at the museum. Construction begins November 2010 and is anticipated to last 2-3 years.

Gibson House Access

Use the TTC
The TTC is the best way to get to Gibson House during construction. From the North York Centre subway station cross Park Home Ave. and walk north on the west side of Yonge St. to our new pedestrian access just past of the construction site. Please stay on the marked pedestrian path, away from traffic.

From the Neighbourhood
You can visit Gibson House from the new Yonge St. pedestrian access just north of the construction site, or from the west via Basil Hall Court.

Arriving by Vehicle
A new access lane has been established just north of the construction site – it is accessible only from the southbound lane of Yonge Street. Follow the marked route on the map to reach the entrance, and then follow the signs to reach the Gibson House parking lot.

Sections of the driveway are gravel – please drive slowly and carefully, and watch for pedestrians.
Limited parking will be available

Take extra time to arrive and use caution when approaching the site. Trucks may be parked on Yonge St. north of the access point waiting to enter the construction site. Carefully pull around these vehicles to approach the access lane. Pay attention to the construction traffic warden, who is there to assist you.
