History comes to life - The visitor's experience
Montgomery's Inn has been a landmark in Etobicoke for over 180 years. Now surrounded by a rapidly expanding metropolis, it continues to provide visual evidence of early 19th-century life in this region. Today, the museum has been restored to its heyday of 1847 and extends the tradition of hospitality that the Montgomerys started in the 1830s.
Visitors explore the pivotal role of the tavern in colonial Canada. View the lodgers' bedrooms, the bar room, second floor assembly room, and the Montgomery family bedrooms, sitting room and office. Treat yourself to something sweet or savoury from our menu in the Tearoom. Visit our gift shop which contains many one-of-a-kind gifts. The Inn is available for rentals and is a welcoming environment for your special event or meeting. Learn more!
