The City of Toronto is working with its healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 923,039 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto.

The Team Toronto effort is focused on getting as many residents vaccinated as quickly as possible based on available supply. It is also expanding mobile vaccination efforts across Toronto to bring vaccine to the neighbourhoods most in need.

All people age 40 and older in Ontario are now eligible for vaccination. Vaccinations are available at City-operated immunization clinics for residents 60 years of age and older, and residents 50 years of age or older who live in hot spots. Toronto residents 40 years of age and older can book vaccination appointments at participating pharmacies to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine. As of yesterday evening, approximately 299,850 people have booked COVID-19 vaccination appointments at a City-run clinic. A small number of appointments are available for the next two weeks. Eligible residents are encouraged to book an appointment through the dark blue “Book a Vaccine” button on www.toronto.ca/covid-19 with the added option of booking by phone through the Provincial Vaccine Information Line at 1-888-999-6488. The City and healthcare partners are working to operate a total of approximately 24 clinics today, including mobile teams and on-site clinics, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework. These clinics are only vaccinating those in the priority groups who have confirmed appointments.

City of Toronto immunization clinics

  • Yesterday, held nine City-operated immunization clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre, Scarborough Town Centre, Malvern Community Recreation Centre, Mitchell Field Arena, The Hangar, Cloverdale Mall, North Toronto Memorial Community Centre and Carmine Stefano Community Centre.
  • Vaccinated approximately 7,770 eligible residents.
  • Today, will vaccinate up to approximately 8,050 people born in 1961 or earlier and people age 50 or older who live in hot spot neighbourhoods as identified by postal code. People without appointments should not attend a City-run immunization clinic.

Unity Health Toronto

  • Today, will hold three mobile clinics.
  • Will vaccinate 332 people who are age 18 and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods, individuals living in youth shelters and affordable housing units, and Indigenous adults.

  • Yesterday, held two mobile clinics.
  • Vaccinated 2,365 people who are homebound patients, and age 18 years and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods.
  • Today, will hold one on-site clinic.
  • Will vaccinate 400 people who are healthcare workers and students, and Indigenous adults.

  • Yesterday, deployed one mobile team.
  • Vaccinated 66 individuals living in congregate settings.
  • Today, will hold one on-site clinic.
  • Will vaccinate 1,086 people who are community members 60 years and older, healthcare workers, individuals with highest and high-risk conditions and their essential caregivers, and people age 50 years and older in hot spot neighbourhoods.

  • Yesterday, held one on-site clinic.
  • Vaccinated 1,096 people who are healthcare workers, individuals eligible under Phase 2, and residents age 40 years and older in hot spot neighbourhoods.
  • Today, will hold one on-site clinic and a mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate 2,011 people belonging to the same groups.

  • Vaccinated 750 people age 18 years and older in hot spot neighbourhoods.
  • Today, will hold one mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 1,500 belonging to the same group.

  • Yesterday, held three on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
  • Vaccinated 1,000 people who are healthcare workers, residents age 50 years and older in hot spot neighbourhoods, and individuals living in congregate settings.
  • Today, will hold three on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 1,200 people belonging to the same groups, as well as individuals experiencing homelessness.

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

  • Yesterday, held one on-site clinic and an off-site community clinic in partnership with Baycrest.
  • Vaccinated 1,300 people who are residents age 60 years and older, Indigenous adults, adults who receive home care, hospital staff, people with highest and high-risk conditions and their caregivers, and people age 50 years and older in hot spot neighbourhoods.
  • Today, will hold one on-site clinic and an off-site clinic.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 1,500 people belonging to the same groups.

CAMH

  • Today, will hold one on-site clinic.
  • Will vaccinate 359 people who are adults self-identifying as First Nations, Inuit or Métis age 16 and older, healthcare workers in high priority risk groups, faith leaders, individuals living in high-risk congregate settings, staff and essential caregivers, people age 50 years and older in hot spot neighbourhoods, and individuals with specific health conditions and their essential caregivers.

Participating pharmacies in Toronto

  • Toronto Public Health can confirm that as of yesterday morning, 163,296 people aged 55 and older received the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine at participating pharmacies in Toronto since the provincial pilot began.
  • An update on the number of vaccinations in Toronto pharmacies will be provided on Tuesdays and Fridays as information is made available twice a week.

The City, Toronto Public Health, hospitals and community healthcare centres are all working together to get Torontonians vaccinated as quickly as possible. Getting vaccinated protects individuals, their close contacts and the community. As vaccine supply for the general population becomes widely available from the Government of Canada and the Province, more than 350 clinics, including pharmacies and mobile clinics across Toronto, will vaccinate people following the priority framework established by the Province.
