News Release
April 21, 2021

The City of Toronto is working with its healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 948,657 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto.

The Team Toronto effort is focused on getting as many residents vaccinated as quickly as possible based on available supply. It is also expanding mobile vaccination efforts across Toronto to bring vaccine to the neighbourhoods most in need.

Today, our partners will hold a number of mobile and pop-up clinics in hot spot neighbourhoods, including:

  • Unity Health Toronto will hold mobile clinics at a municipal shelter and a subsidized housing building.
  • Humber River Hospital and North Western Toronto Ontario Health Team will host a pop-up clinic at Jane and Finch for people age 18 and older living in postal codes M3L, M3N and M3M.
  • University Health Network will hold a mobile clinic in postal code M3N.

Currently, people age 40 and older in Ontario are now eligible for vaccination. Vaccinations are available at City-operated immunization clinics for residents 60 years of age and older, and residents 50 years of age or older who live in hot spots. Toronto residents 40 years of age and older can book vaccination appointments at participating pharmacies to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine. Information on how people from the various eligibility categories can register for vaccination appointments at City-run and partner clinics is available on the City’s COVID-19: How to Get Vaccinated webpage: https://www.toronto.ca/home/covid-19/covid-19-protect-yourself-others/covid-19-vaccines/covid-19-how-to-get-vaccinated/?accordion=vaccine-eligibility.
