Today, Team Toronto will hit a new vaccine milestone with 35 per cent of adults with two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
The City of Toronto is working non-stop with its healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 3,153,011 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto. As of today, 35 per cent of adults in the city — one in three adults — will have received both their first and second doses of vaccine. Team Toronto continues to see strong demand for second doses as eligibility expands, and residents are urged to get their second dose as soon as possible to ensure they are fully vaccinated.
As of yesterday evening, approximately 804,064 people have booked COVID-19 vaccination appointments at a City-operated clinic. Vaccinations at City clinics are by appointment only and walk-in clients cannot be accommodated.
Individuals who are 12 years and older are eligible to book a first dose vaccination appointment. Adults age 18 and older who received a first dose of Moderna or Pfizer prior to May 30 or a first dose of AstraZeneca prior to May 1 are eligible to book accelerated second dose appointments. All City-run clinics are by appointment only and can be booked through the dark blue “Book a Vaccine” button on City’s COVID-19 webpage or by calling the provincial vaccine booking line at 1-833-943-3900 (TTY 1-866-797-0007).
Anyone who cannot attend a scheduled appointment is urged to cancel or reschedule as soon as possible to allow others to book. Appointments at City-run clinics can be cancelled or changed at the provincial Vaccine Booking Appointment webpage or by calling the provincial booking line.

The Team Toronto effort is focused on getting as many residents vaccinated as quickly as possible based on available supply. It is also expanding mobile vaccination efforts across Toronto to bring vaccines to the neighbourhoods most in need.
The City and healthcare partners are working to operate a total of approximately 41 clinics today, including mobile teams, on-site and pop-up clinics, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework.
