Toronto COVID-19 vaccination update 

The City of Toronto is working with all our healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 318,798 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto.

The City is currently vaccinating residents born in 1941 and earlier at three of the City-operated mass immunization clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre and Scarborough Town Centre. Vaccinations will also begin at the Malvern Community Recreation Centre and Mitchell Field Community Centre clinics on March 29 and at The Hangar clinic site on April 5.

Online booking for this priority group at these six City-run clinics began on Friday, March 12. As of yesterday evening, 21,124 people have booked COVID-19 vaccination appointments at a City-run clinic. Eligible seniors age 80 and older can book appointments through the dark blue “Find out if you are eligible to book” button on www.toronto.ca/covid-19 with the added option of booking by phone through the Provincial Vaccine Information Line at 1-888-999-6488. The City and healthcare partners are working to operate approximately 29 clinics today, including mobile teams and on-site vaccinations, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework. These clinics are only vaccinating those in the priority groups who have confirmed appointments.

City of Toronto immunization clinics

• Yesterday, held three clinics at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre and Scarborough Town Centre.
• In total, vaccinated approximately 1,350 eligible seniors age 80 and older.
• Today, 1,350 people from the same group are scheduled to be vaccinated at a City-run clinic.

Unity Health Toronto

• Yesterday, held two on-site clinics and two mobile clinics.
• Vaccinated 700 people who are priority hospital and community-based healthcare workers, local pharmacy staff, local dentists and their staff, individuals 80 years and older, individuals living in congregate settings, members of the Indigenous community and shelter staff.
• Today, will hold three on-site clinics, a clinic at CAMH and two mobile clinics.
• Will vaccinate approximately 1,000 people belonging to the same groups.

University Health Network

• Yesterday, held three on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
• Vaccinated 470 people who are healthcare workers and students, patients and community members 80 years and older at the on-site clinics.
• Vaccinated 60 individuals living in shelters at the mobile clinic.
• Today, will hold four on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
• Will vaccinate 1,280 people who are healthcare workers and students, long-term care staff and essential caregivers, and community members 80 years and older at the on-site clinics.
• Will vaccinate approximately 90 individuals living in shelters at the mobile clinic.

Michael Garron Hospital – East Toronto Health Partners

• Yesterday, held two on-site clinics, one mobile clinic and two primary care clinics.
• Vaccinated 807 people who are healthcare workers, community members 80 years and older and individuals living in congregate settings.
• Today, will hold two on-site clinics, one primary care clinic, and deploy two mobile teams.
• Will vaccinate approximately 1,072 people who are healthcare workers, community members 80 years and older, individuals living in congregate settings and First Nations, Métis and Inuit adults.

Humber River Hospital and North Western Toronto Ontario Health Team

• Yesterday, held one on-site clinic and two mobile clinics.
• Vaccinated 793 people who are healthcare workers, first responders, patients and individuals 80 years and older, Indigenous adults, adult recipients of home care services, and long-term care staff and essential caregivers.
• Today, will hold one on-site clinic and two mobile clinics.
• Will vaccinate approximately 796 people belonging to the same groups.

North York General Hospital

• Yesterday, held two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
• Vaccinated approximately 1,150 people who are hospital healthcare workers, patients and community members 80 years and older at the on-site clinics.
• Vaccinated approximately 48 people who are 65 years and older living in congregate care settings and individuals living in shelters at the mobile clinic.
• Today, will hold two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
• Will vaccinate approximately 1,238 people who are hospital healthcare workers, people living in shelters and community members 80 years and older.

Scarborough Health Network

• Yesterday, held two on-site clinics.
• Vaccinated 1,700 people who are healthcare workers, residents 80 years and older and individuals living in congregate settings.
• Today, will hold two on-site clinics.
• Will vaccinate 1,700 people belonging to the same groups.

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

• Yesterday, held one on-site clinic.
• Vaccinated 730 people who are community residents 80 years and older, Indigenous adults, adults who receive home care, community healthcare workers and hospital staff.
• Along with partners, held one mobile clinic at a congregate living site and vaccinated approximately 50 people.
• Today, will hold one on-site clinic and a mobile clinic.
• Will vaccinate approximately 1,000 people belonging to the same groups.

The City, Toronto Public Health, hospitals and community healthcare centres are all working together to get Torontonians vaccinated as quickly as possible. Getting vaccinated protects individuals, their close contacts and the community. As vaccine supply for the general population becomes widely available from the Government of Canada and the Province, more than 350 clinics, including pharmacies and mobile clinics across Toronto, will vaccinate people following the priority framework established by the Province.
