The City of Toronto is working with all our healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 403,902 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto.
The City is currently vaccinating residents born in 1946 and earlier at three of the City-operated mass immunization clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre and Scarborough Town Centre. Today, the City of Toronto and East Toronto Health Partners will open a mass immunization clinic at the Thorncliffe Park Community Hub for eligible seniors with confirmed appointments. On March 29, City-operated clinics at Malvern Community Recreation Centre and Mitchell Field Community Centre will open, followed by The Hangar location on April 5.
As of yesterday evening, 48,159 people have booked COVID-19 vaccination appointments at a City-run clinic. Eligible seniors can book appointments through the dark blue “Find out if you are eligible to book” button on www.toronto.ca/covid-19 with the added option of booking by phone through the Provincial Vaccine Information Line at 1-888-999-6488. The City and healthcare partners are working to operate approximately 28 clinics today, including mobile teams and on-site clinics, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework. These clinics are only vaccinating those in the priority groups who have confirmed appointments.
City of Toronto immunization clinics
- Yesterday, held three clinics at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre and Scarborough Town Centre.
- Vaccinated approximately 3,000 eligible seniors.
- Today, will vaccinate 3,510 people born in 1946 or earlier. Only those with confirmed appointments will be vaccinated. People without appointments should not attend a City’s immunization clinic.
Unity Health Toronto
- Yesterday, held two on-site clinics and three mobile clinics.
- Vaccinated 1,020 people who are priority hospital and community based healthcare workers, local pharmacy staff, local dentists and their staff, individuals 75 years and older, individuals living in congregate settings, members of the Indigenous community and shelter staff.
- Today, will hold two on-site clinics and four mobile clinics.
- Will vaccinate approximately 940 people belonging to the same groups.
University Health Network
- Yesterday, held three on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
- Vaccinated 1,980 people who are healthcare workers, long-term care staff and essential caregivers, patients and individuals 75 years and older at the on-site clinics.
- Vaccinated 140 individuals living in congregate settings and shelters at the mobile clinic.
- Today, will hold four on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
- Will vaccinate 2,050 people who are healthcare workers and students, patients, individuals 75 years and older, and long-term care staff and essential caregivers at the on-site clinics.
- Will vaccinate 150 individuals living in congregate settings and shelters at the mobile clinic.
Michael Garron Hospital – East Toronto Health Partners
- Yesterday, held two on-site clinics (Warden Hilltop and MGH) and deployed a mobile team.
- Vaccinated 628 community members who are healthcare workers, 80 years and older, and individuals living in congregate settings.
- Today, will hold two on-site clinics (Thorncliffe Park Community Hub and MGH) and deploy two mobile teams.
- Will vaccinate approximately 1,578 people who are community members 75 years and older, individuals living in congregate settings and Indigenous adults.
Humber River Hospital and North Western Toronto Ontario Health Team
- Yesterday, held one on-site clinic and two mobile clinics.
- Vaccinated 790 people who are healthcare workers, first responders, patients, individuals 75 years and older, Indigenous adults, faith leaders, and adult recipients of home care services.
- Today, will hold one on-site clinic and a mobile clinic.
- Will vaccinate approximately 695 people belonging to the same groups.
North York General Hospital – North York Toronto Health Partners
- Yesterday, held two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
- Vaccinated approximately 1,150 people who are hospital healthcare workers, patients and community members 75 years and older at the on-site clinics.
- Vaccinated approximately 100 individuals who are 65 years and older living in congregate care settings and people living in shelters at the mobile clinic.
- Today, will hold two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
- Will vaccinate approximately 1,594 people who are hospital healthcare workers, people living in shelters and community members 75 years and older.
Scarborough Health Network
- Yesterday, held two on-site clinics and a pop-up clinic.
- Vaccinated 1,900 people who are healthcare workers, residents 75 years and older and individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Today, will hold two on-site clinics and a pop-up clinic.
- Will vaccinate approximately 2,000 people who are healthcare workers, residents 75 years and older and people living in congregate settings.
Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre
- Yesterday, held one on-site clinic and a mobile clinic.
- Vaccinated 1,000 people who are community residents 75 years and older, Indigenous adults, adults who receive home care, community healthcare workers and hospital staff.
- Today, will hold one on-site clinic and a mobile clinic.
- Will vaccinate approximately 1,000 people belonging to the same groups.
The City, Toronto Public Health, hospitals and community healthcare centres are all working together to get Torontonians vaccinated as quickly as possible. Getting vaccinated protects individuals, their close contacts and the community. As vaccine supply for the general population becomes widely available from the Government of Canada and the Province, more than 350 clinics, including pharmacies and mobile clinics across Toronto, will vaccinate people following the priority framework established by the Province.
