Traffic Signals & Pedestrian Crossovers – Vision Zero
A Pedestrian Crossover (PXO) is a designated road crossing for pedestrians outside of an intersection. These crosswalks are equipped with overhead yellow lights and side mounted flashers. A traffic signal is a set of automatically operated colored lights, typically red, amber, and green, for controlling traffic at road junctions and crosswalks.
25 council approved PXOs and Traffic Signals are to be installed in 2019.
