As of July 19, 2021, indoor sports and activities can be booked. Indoor social gatherings and organized public events are limited to 25 people or 50 per cent maximum capacity. If 50 per cent maximum capacity is lower than 25 people, the limit is the lower number.

Masks are required indoors but can be removed during physical activity. Outdoor, no-contact league and recreational sports games or scrimmages are allowed.

Physical distancing of two metres is required for indoor and outdoor activities.

Picnics, Picnic Shelters & Social Gatherings

Bookings aren’t required for gatherings involving less than 25 people. A booking is recommended if you would like to reserve a specific spot. Bookings are required for all gatherings involving more than 25 people.

Outdoor event permit rates are based on the attendance of your event. Set-up and clean-up fees may be applied and a damage deposit may be required for larger events.

Outdoor Ovens

Payment of the booking fee is required for all outdoor oven bookings regardless of attendance.

Insurance is required for all outdoor oven bookings. Applicants can use their own general liability insurance, with a minimum of $2 million coverage, by naming the City of Toronto as an additional insured. Applicants may also purchase insurance from the City of Toronto.
