Toronto is Canada's largest city and sixth largest government and home to a diverse population of about 2.7 million people. Toronto's government is dedicated to delivering customer service excellence, creating a transparent and accountable government, reducing the size and cost of government and building a transportation city. Toronto has won numerous awards for quality, innovation and efficiency in delivering public services.
Toronto participates in performance measurement and reporting initiatives to identify where we're doing well and where we need to improve. Our participation continues to strengthen the City's accountability and enhances transparency in how we report performance of our services. Performance measurement and benchmarking provide service level and performance measurement results, examine internal trends and compare results externally to other municipalities through the Ontario Municipal CAOs' Benchmarking Initiative.
