Give the gift of fun, wellness and creativity with the City of Toronto’s new Recreation and Culture Gift Card.
Whether it’s helping someone discover a new activity or build their skills, the gift card is a thoughtful way to celebrate birthdays, holidays, or simply show support to the people who matter most.
Use the gift card for:
- Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall activity registration, including CampTO
- Drop-in activities
- FitnessTO memberships
- Booking spaces like courts, rinks, fields, gymnasiums, or other recreation facilities for meetings or social events
- Cultural Centre classes and workshops
Buy a Gift Card
Online
Payment options:

To purchase a Gift Card online:
- Sign in to your Online Registration and Booking account
- Select Gift Cards
- Review the gift card description and select Purchase now
- Enter the amount of money you want added to the gift card, with a minimum of $10
- Select a Recipient from the dropdown menu if purchasing for someone on your account, or use Unspecified recipient if purchasing for someone not listed on your account
- Select Add to cart.
- From the Shopping cart, you can:
- select the Edit icon to edit the amount and Save
- select the Gift Card to add another card
- select Finish if you have a credit on your account
- select Check Out to proceed to pay by credit card
- Complete Check Out by entering your credit card information under Payment method and updating Billing Address if needed
- Select Pay
- Review the Confirmation screen, where you can:
- add to Apple or Google Wallet to add a QR code to your smartphone or share the QR code with the gift card recipient
- view printable receipt, then select Print Gift Card to print or save a copy
You will receive a receipt by email.
In Person
Payment options:
You can visit any recreation centre or civic centre to purchase a gift card. At civic centres, go to the Client Services counter. A copy of the gift card will be printed out on paper for you.
By Phone

The gift card will be available on your account and/or emailed to you.

You can display a list of all gift cards purchased. From My Account, select View all my gift cards. You will be able to:
- copy the gift card number
- show the QR code
- add to wallet
- print
- refill the gift card
Use Gift Cards
Gift cards can be redeemed online through Online Booking and Registration or in person at a recreation centre.
Use the QR code to pay in person at any recreation centre that has a scanner. Print the QR code on paper or add it to your smartphone’s Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
For centres without a scanner or if you don’t have access to the QR code, you can bring in the gift card number.
Terms of Use
- Gift cards can be purchased in any amount from $10 to $1000.
- You can add money to reload your gift card up to $1000 and continue using it for as long as you like.
- Purchase and reload the gift card:
- online through the Registration and Booking System (pay by credit card)
- over the phone by calling Client Services at 416-396-7378 (pay by debit or credit card)
- by visiting any recreation centre or a civic centre counter (pay by cash, debit or credit card).
- Gift cards can be purchased for yourself, for your family member or as a gift for anyone.
- Gift cards can be redeemed (used for payment) by entering or providing the gift card number or QR code, or by selecting the gift card linked to your account.
- Use the gift card for purchases online, over the phone and in person.
- Download the gift card QR code from your online account to a mobile device. Staff are not able to download the QR code for customers.
- Save the gift card or the gift card number to your mobile device or print it. Staff can print the gift card for you.
- You can check the gift card balance through staff or through your online account.
- Gift cards do not expire.
- Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and refunds are not issued for unused balances.
- The City of Toronto does not replace lost or stolen gift cards and does not reimburse any amount spent without consent.
