The City of Toronto has partnered with the Toronto Curling Association to bring curling to two outdoor rinks this winter. Harry Gairey and West Mall rinks are each home to three curling sheets and all of the necessary equipment, including half-weight stones (9.98 kilograms), brooms, portable hacks (the foot-holds at each end of the ice) and storage containers to house the equipment.
Community curling opportunities will be available throughout the season, facilitated by Toronto Curling Association volunteers. Specific event schedules will be posted at the two rinks.
