The City of Toronto is hosting a media availability with visiting FIFA delegates as part of the FIFA World Cup 2026 site visit to Toronto.

Mayor John Tory will be speaking on behalf of the City, joined by the Honourable Lisa MacLeod, Ontario’s Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries. FIFA will be represented by Vice-President and Concacaf President Victor Montagliani and Chief Tournaments and Events Officer Colin Smith.

Date: November 22, 2021

Time: 1:15 to 1:45 p.m.

Media RSVP

Members of the media planning to attend the media availability are asked to RSVP to media@toronto.ca. This will be a brief availability due to the limited time available for the delegates as part of their site visit. Members of the media are asked to arrive no later than 1 p.m.

All members of the media must show proof of vaccination upon arrival. All those attending must wear a mask or face covering for the duration of the availability, in adherence with public health guidelines.
