The City of Toronto will host several Remembrance Day ceremonies on Monday, November 11 to honour Canadians who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country during times of war, military conflict and peace. Mayor John Tory will deliver remarks as part of Monday’s ceremony at Old City Hall.

City staff will hold a walkthrough at Old City Hall for television camera operators and photographers in advance of Monday’s ceremony.

Date of walkthrough: Friday, November 8
Time: 11 a.m.
Location: Cenotaph, Old City Hall, 60 Queen St. W.

In addition to the Remembrance Day service at Old City Hall on Monday, services will be held at Scarborough Civic Centre on November 10 (2 p.m.), and at East York Civic Centre, Etobicoke Civic Centre, Fort York National Historic Site, Meridian Arts Centre (North York) and the York Civic Centre on November 11 (10:45 a.m.)

The Old City Hall service on November 11 will be broadcast via livestream on the City’s YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/thecityoftoronto.

Road closures for Old City Hall Remembrance Day service:
The following streets near Old City Hall will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, November 11:
• Bay Street between Dundas Street West and Richmond Street West
• Queen Street West between Yonge Street and Osgoode Lane
• James Street between Queen Street West and Albert Street.

Local access only will be provided on Bay Street, southbound only, from Dundas Street West to Albert Street, with Albert Street temporarily converted to a two-way street.
