Ann O’Reilly and her husband Patrick O’Sullivan operated a hotel in the latter half of the 19th century on a site that is now the northwest corner of Victoria Park Avenue and Sheppard Avenue. Their son Michael later opened the O’Sullivan’s Corners Post Office in the hotel and became its first postmaster in 1892. The hotel/post office building was demolished in the early 1950s.
