The City of Toronto is working with its healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 1,567,248 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto.

The Team Toronto effort is focused on getting as many residents vaccinated as quickly as possible based on available supply. It is also expanding mobile vaccination efforts across Toronto to bring vaccine to the neighbourhoods most in need.

Starting today at 8 a.m., everyone ages 40 to 49 will be eligible to book a vaccination appointment at a City of Toronto immunization clinic. The new cohort joins those with at-risk health conditions and people who cannot work from home that are in Group Two of Ontario’s COVID-19 vaccination plan, who became eligible to book appointments earlier this week.

This week, Toronto Public Health and community-led Team Toronto partners are also including five new postal code areas for Sprint Strategy mobile and pop-up clinics:

  • Scarborough: M1E, M1K, M1R
  • Downtown East: M4X, M5A

Today, Team Toronto Mobile Sprint Strategy will vaccinate 6,670 people age 18 years and older at the following pop-up clinics:

  • Canadian Centre for Refugee and Immigrant Healthcare (M1P, M1W, M1M, M1S, M1T)
  • TTC – McNicoll Division (M1V)
  • Boys & Girls Club of East Scarborough (M1C, M1E)
  • Jimmie Simpson (M5A, M4X)
  • Birchmount Park Collegiate (M1J, M1K, M1L, M1M)
  • Thorncliffe Park Community Hub (M3C, M4H)

As of yesterday evening, approximately 651,634 people have booked COVID-19 vaccination appointments at a City-run clinic. Appointments at City-operated immunization clinics are available through the Province’s online booking system. Eligible residents are encouraged to book an appointment by clicking the blue “Book a Vaccine” button at www.toronto.ca/covid-19 or through phone by calling the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1-833-943-3900. The City and healthcare partners are working to operate a total of approximately 47 clinics today, including mobile teams and on-site clinics, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework. These clinics are only vaccinating those in the priority groups who have confirmed appointments.

City of Toronto immunization clinics

  • Today, will hold nine City-operated immunization clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre, Scarborough Town Centre, Malvern Community Recreation Centre, Mitchell Field Arena, The Hangar, Cloverdale Mall, North Toronto Memorial Community Centre and Carmine Stefano Community Centre.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 11,665 people born in 1971 or earlier and people age 18 or older who live in hot spot neighbourhoods as identified by postal code. People without appointments should not attend a City-run immunization clinic.

 Unity Health Toronto, Downtown East Toronto OHT and West Toronto OHT

  • Yesterday, held two on-site clinics, four pop-up clinics, and two mobile clinics.
  • Vaccinated 3,028 people who are age 18 and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods, priority hospital and community-based healthcare workers, select inpatients, homebound adults, individuals living in congregate settings, members of the Indigenous community, shelter staff, transplant recipients and those receiving active cancer treatment and individuals with specific high-risk health conditions.
  • Today, will hold three on-site clinics, two mobile clinics, and six pop-up clinics.
  • Will vaccinate 3,914 people belonging to the same groups.

University Health Network

  • Yesterday, held two on-site clinics.
  • Vaccinated 1,767 people who are priority hospital and community-based healthcare workers, patients with priority health conditions, adults age 50 and older, and Indigenous.
  • Today, will hold three on-site clinics, and a mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate 2,480 people in the same groups above, and adults age 40 and older.

Michael Garron Hospital – East Toronto Health Partners

  • Yesterday, held two primary care clinics, and two on-site clinics.
  • Vaccinated 4,396 people who are age 18 years and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods, adults age 50 and older, individuals with highest and high-risk conditions, individuals living in risk congregate settings, individuals living in shelters or experiencing homelessness, individuals that receive home care, health care workers and medical first responders, Indigenous adults, select education and child care workers, and people who cannot work from home.
  • Today, will hold four primary care clinics, and a mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate 760 people who are age 18 years and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods, adults age 40 and older, individuals with highest and high-risk conditions.

  • Yesterday, held one mobile clinic.
  • Vaccinated 1,900 people who are age 18 years and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods.
  • Today, will hold one mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate 1,900 people belonging to the same group.

  • Yesterday, held five on-site clinics, and two pop-up clinics, and a mobile clinic.
  • Vaccinated 10,407 people who are age 18 years and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods and a naturally occurring retirement community (NORC).
  • Today, will hold five on-site clinics, two pop-up clinics and one mobile clinics.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 9,250 people who are age 18 years and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods, and people living in one shelter.

  • Yesterday, held one on-site clinic and an off-site community clinic in partnership with Baycrest.
  • Vaccinated 1,400 people who are residents age 50 years and older, Indigenous adults, adults who receive home care, healthcare workers, hospital staff, people with highest and high-risk conditions and their caregivers, people who live or work in high-risk congregate settings, pregnant people, people age 18 years and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods, and people who cannot work from home.
  • Today, will hold one on-site clinic and an off-site clinic in partnership with Baycrest.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 1,300 people belonging to the same groups, and now also including residents age 40 years and

  • Yesterday, held one pop-up clinic, and one mobile clinic.
  • Vaccinated 1,600 people who are age 40 years and older, and 18 years and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods.
  • Today, will hold one pop-up clinic and two mobile clinics.
  • Will vaccinate 1,055 people belonging to the same groups.

  • Yesterday, held one on-site clinic.
  • Vaccinated 264 people who are CAMH patients, and 18 years and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods.

The City, Toronto Public Health, hospitals and community healthcare centres are all working together to get Torontonians vaccinated as quickly as possible. Getting vaccinated protects individuals, their close contacts and the community. As vaccine supply for the general population becomes widely available from the Government of Canada and the Province, more than 350 clinics, including pharmacies and mobile clinics across Toronto, will vaccinate people following the priority framework established by the Province.
