The City of Toronto is working with its healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 1,859,876 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto.

The Team Toronto effort is focused on getting as many residents vaccinated as quickly as possible based on available supply. It is also expanding mobile vaccination efforts across Toronto to bring vaccine to the neighbourhoods most in need.

This week, the City announced the Long Weekend Dose Drive and opened 19,000 new appointments at six City-run immunization clinics for this Victoria Day long weekend. From Friday to Monday, including the 19,000 new appointments, the nine City-run clinics have the vaccine supply and capacity to vaccinate 56,160 people.

Approximately 690,857 people have booked COVID-19 vaccination appointments at a City-run clinic as of yesterday evening.

Today, Team Toronto Mobile Sprint Strategy will vaccinate approximately 3,994 people at the following pop-up clinics:

  • Sheppard Point Condos (M1S)
  • Bamburgh Gardens Shopping Plaza – Outdoors (M1W)
  • East York Community Centre (M4K, 3W4) Adults age 18 and older (born in 2003 or earlier)
  • A. Morrison Middle School (M4C, 5L2) Individuals age 12 and older who are students or immediate family members of students at D.A. Morrison Middle School
  • Joseph Polanyi Collegiate Institute (M6M, M6N, M6A, M9N)

The City and healthcare partners are working to operate a total of approximately 41 clinics today, including mobile teams and on-site clinics, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework.

 City of Toronto immunization clinics

  • Yesterday, held nine City-operated immunization clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre, Scarborough Town Centre, Malvern Community Recreation Centre, Mitchell Field Arena, The Hangar, Cloverdale Mall, North Toronto Memorial Community Centre and Carmine Stefano Community Centre.
  • Vaccinated approximately 9,346 eligible residents.
  • Today, will vaccinate approximately 11,680 people age 18 and older. People without appointments should not attend a City-run immunization clinic.

 Unity Health Toronto, Downtown East Toronto OHT and West Toronto OHT

  • Yesterday, held three on-site clinics, two mobile clinics and five pop-up clinics.
  • Vaccinated 3,358 people who are age 18 years and older, priority hospital and community-based healthcare workers, select inpatients, homebound adults, individuals living in congregate settings, members of the Indigenous community, shelter staff, transplant recipients and those receiving active cancer treatment, and individuals with specific high-risk health conditions.
  • Today, will hold two on-site clinics, and three pop-up clinics.
  • Will vaccinate 2,424 people belonging to the same

  • Yesterday, held three on-site clinics and one mobile clinic.
  • Vaccinated 2,782 people who are healthcare workers and students, people age 12 years and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods, long-term care staff and essential caregivers, patients with priority health conditions, and Indigenous
  • Today, will hold three on-site clinics and three mobile clinics.
  • Will vaccinate 3,182 people belonging to the same groups.

  • Yesterday, held one on-site clinic, two pop-up clinics, and four primary care clinics.
  • Vaccinated 3,049 people who are age 12 years and older, health care workers, and individuals with health conditions.
  • Today, will hold two pop-up clinics and two mobile clinics.
  • Will vaccinate 1,280 people who are age 12 years and older, health care workers, individuals with health conditions, and individuals living in congregate settings.

  • Vaccinated 1,640 people who are age 18 years and older, and people age 12 and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods.

  • Will vaccinate approximately 5,200 people belonging to the same group.

  • Vaccinated 2,000 people who are age 18 years and older, people age 12 and older living in hot spot neighbourhoods, and second dose high risk health care workers.
  • Today, will hold one pop-up clinic.
  • Will vaccinate 2,000 people belonging to the same group.

Participating pharmacies in Toronto

  • Toronto Public Health can confirm that as of yesterday morning, 240,271 people age 18 and older received their COVID-19 vaccine at participating pharmacies in Toronto since the provincial pilot began.
  • An update on the number of vaccinations in Toronto pharmacies will be provided on Tuesdays and Fridays as information is made available twice a week.

The City, Toronto Public Health, hospitals and community healthcare centres are all working together to get Torontonians vaccinated as quickly as possible. Getting vaccinated protects individuals, their close contacts and the community.
