April 15 to 19 is designated 911 Telecommunicators Week in Toronto. This year is the 19th year the City of Toronto’s three emergency services organizations have partnered to recognize staff who handle 911 calls and dispatch emergency services personnel to fires, road collisions, violent incidents, medical emergencies, crimes and other emergencies.
In addition to the presentation of awards, the event will highlight some of the contributions telecommunicators have made in the course of their work on behalf of the people of Toronto.
