Toronto Fire Services will welcome the command leadership of Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Toronto, as it returns from deployment on Friday.

Toronto Fire Chief Jim Sales will acknowledge the service of the HMCS Toronto during its successful six-month deployment in the Mediterranean and Black Seas. Since deploying in July, the ship has travelled more than 30,809 nautical miles in the Atlantic Ocean, and the Mediterranean and Black Seas. The ship’s helicopter detachment flew 181 sorties, totalling more than 445 flying hours.
