Who Can Attend
The program is for young individuals who are:
- pregnant
- living in Toronto
- meet program age criteria
Program Details
Young Parent Prenatal Program is a free weekly program that provides group and individual support and education from Public Health Nurses and Registered Dietitians in collaboration with community partners. The young parent program is offered at several sites across Toronto.
Topics include:
- having a healthy baby
- healthy eating during pregnancy
- taking care of yourself
- body changes
- getting back to school
- finding affordable housing
The program may also provide:
- healthy snacks
- food certificates
- child care
- TTC tokens
- interpretation
- linking and referrals to other community resources
There are multiple program sites across Toronto. Partners or other support people are welcome.
