The City of Toronto offers a range of recreational club & social activities for individuals of all ages.

Registered activities are instructor-led programs offered as a group of multiple classes over several weeks.

Activity Description Ages
After School Club Offers students a variety of indoor and outdoor recreation activities like games, crafts and sports. Child
Club: Social Spend time with your peers and have some fun. Here you will enjoy socializing and talking about shared interests as you participate in activities.   

Activity variations include: Girls and Boys

Child, Youth, Older Adult
Club: Homework With the support of staff, participants have an opportunity to complete your homework with their peers in a social setting. Child, Youth
Club: Reading Facilitated by staff, participants may enjoy their favourite books, share ideas and thoughts and review various texts in a fun and safe environment. Child, Youth
Club: Chess Practice and improve skills through strategic round-robin game play with peers This activity is facilitated by staff; there is no formal instruction. Child, Youth
Club: Explorers Walking and Social Spend time with your peers, get moving and have some fun. Enjoy a guided walk while learning about the neighbourhood. Older Adult 
Garden and Nature Enjoy the combination of gardening and outdoor exploration. Learn about composting, recycling and the world of plants and insects through hands-on projects, games and activities including nature hikes.

Nature: Little Farmers with Caregiver Take part in the fun at Riverdale Farm. Participants will learn about farm animals through a variety of activities including stories and crafts as well as a visit from a farmer and an animal friend. Early Child
Recreation Adventures Your recreational adventure begins here. Enjoy activities like sing-alongs, interactive games and arts and crafts while having fun with new friends.

Recreation Discovery Embark on a recreational discovery with a focus on developing skills through creative, active and interactive activities. Enjoy storytelling, theme-based games, crafts, music and physical activity, while having fun with new friends.

Trip Explore the sights and sounds of a set destination while enjoying the company of your fellow travellers. Activity cost covers bussing and admission. Youth, Older Adult
Young Men's and Young Women's Program Share and connect in this activity designed to promote personal development. Through a variety of recreational and leisure activities, you will improve your physical and mental health and learn about the importance of community. Youth
Youth Leadership Program With a focus on the fundamental principles of healthy youth development, you will learn to engage your community, explore your talents, think critically, problem-solve and make decisions. Through collaboration with your instructor, you will also help design activity content to ensure it is relevant and meets the diverse needs, unique skills and talents of those enrolled. Youth

Drop-in activities offer an opportunity for participants to take part in a non-instructional activity at their convenience. No registration is required.

  • Young Men’s/Women’s Program, improve physical and mental health through a variety of recreational and leisure activities and learn about the importance of community

Enhanced Youth Spaces are supervised spaces for youth between the ages of 13 and 24, offering a variety of drop-in club and social activities. For more information, please visit the Youth and Recreation page. 

“With Caregiver” Activities

Some activities are offered “With Caregiver” option. These activities will be listed with “With Caregiver” in their title.  For all “With Caregiver” activities, the caregiver must attend the activity.

Caregivers must be at least 14 years of age to directly supervise the child(ren).

The caregiver is required to participate with the child in proper clothing and footwear.
