Use this form to order bins or replace missing/stolen bins if your multi-residential building has curbside collection.
The 2026 fees outlined below were approved by the City Council as part of the 2026 Budget process.

Fees are based on the overall volume of garbage, with different rates applicable for compacted versus un-compacted garbage. The fee includes collection of organics, electronics, yard waste and household hazardous waste. Any amount over the base rate is considered excess and the building will be charged an excess fee per cubic yard.

Excess garbage beyond what fits in the bin with the lid closed, must be bagged, tagged and set out beside the Garbage Bin for collection.

Garbage Tags can be purchased in the Solid Waste Web Store or at Canadian Tire stores located in Toronto.

This is an annual fee for the collection of oversized and metal items for each single-family home and multi-residential unit, regardless of whether the service is used.

To replace stolen or missing Garbage or Green Bins, complete and submit the Bin Order Form. You will be invoiced for bins ordered on this form.

If you need to replace broken Garbage or Green Bins you have on site, please email swmsupport@toronto.ca using your business email.

For buildings on City collection services prior to January 1, 2026: For recycling inquiries including missed collection and blue bin service requests, visit the Circular Materials website or call 1-888-921-2686.

If you believe damage to your front-end container (or bulk bin/container) was caused by a City contractor, submit a service request for a damage claim or contact 311.

Curbside collection

  • Place bins as close to the street as possible and 0.5 metres (two feet) apart.
  • Ensure bins are clearly visible and accessible.
  • Never put bins behind or on snowbanks.

Front-end collection

  • Place containers in the appropriate direction at the designated collection point.
  • Ensure bins are clearly visible and accessible.
  • Make sure wheels are locked.
  • Keep the collection driveway and loading space clear of snow, ice and parked cars.

Set out time

  • Curbside collection: Place items at curbside before 7 a.m.
  • Front-end collection: Place items at collection point before 7 a.m. and open and secure service gates.
