Several events this weekend will involve local road closures. Residents and visitors are encouraged to come out and enjoy these events. Businesses in the local areas will be open to pedestrian traffic but some roads will be closed to vehicles.

Festivals and other special events are important to the city, injecting hundreds of millions of dollars annually into Toronto’s economy. They are enjoyed each year by local residents and visitors.

Toronto Raptors tailgate and viewing party  
Bremner Boulevard from Lake Shore Boulevard West to the east side of the parking garage at 25 York St. will be closed on Saturday, May 25 from 7 a.m. to midnight. A map of these closures is available at http://bit.ly/MLSEPlayoffs2019.

Fast in the 6
Hagerman Street, from Elizabeth Street to Bay Street, will be closed on Friday, May 24 from 9:40 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. A map of this closure is available at http://bit.ly/FastInThe6_2019.

Doors Open Toronto
The east curb lane on Victoria Street, from Dundas Street East to Shuter Street, will be closed as part of this City-wide event on Saturday, May 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. A complete list of the many Doors Open Toronto events taking place throughout the weekend is at http://www.toronto.ca/doorsopen.

Senhor Santo Cristo Festival
Portugal Square, from Bathurst Street to Adelaide Street West, as well as Adelaide Street West, from 629 Adelaide St. W. to Bathurst Street, will be closed on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 from 2 to 11 p.m. each day. Pedestrian Sundays at Kensington Market
Parts of Kensington Avenue, Augusta Avenue and Baldwin Street will be closed on Sunday, May 26 from noon to 10:30 p.m. A map of these closures is available at http://bit.ly/PedestrianSundays. More information about this event is available at http://www.kensingtonmarketbia.com/.

Passover of Imam Ali
The following closures and restrictions will be in effect on Sunday, May 26 from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
• Northbound curb lane on McCowan Road, between the driveway at 4325 McCowan Rd. and Steeles Avenue East.
• Eastbound curb lane on Steeles Avenue East, between McCowan Road and Middlefield Avenue
• All southbound lanes on Middlefield Avenue will be closed from Steeles Avenue East to Passmore Avenue
• Westbound curb lane on Passmore Avenue from Middlefield Avenue to 328 Passmore Ave.

In addition to road closures related to special events, a significant amount of road work is taking place in the city. People are encouraged to take public transit as a greener, faster and more affordable way of getting to their destinations.
