Energy Efficiency Office
Toronto’s Energy Efficiency Office offers technical expertise and support to the industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) sector. They also manage several programs that can help you save energy.
Better Buildings Partnership (BBP)
BBP provides resources and financial assistance for energy efficient retrofits and construction of Toronto buildings. The goal is to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions generated by the energy used to heat, light and cool buildings.
Employee Energy Efficiency at Work (E3@Work)
E3@Work helps employees adopt energy efficient practices throughout your workplace.
Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA)
The TRCA works with governments, businesses, and individuals to build a greener, cleaner healthier place to live.

Toronto Hydro offers many incentives to help you conserve electricity and save money.
Business Inventive Program (BIP)
Energy-efficient renovations to commercial buildings are eligible for incentives – be sure to apply before you start your project!
Power Savings Blitz
Small businesses in the office and retail sectors with annual electricity demand less than 50 kW may be eligible for up to $1000 in free energy-efficient lighting and equipment upgrades.
The Data Centre Incentive Program (DCIP)
Incentives are available to help you reduce the electricity demand of your data centre. A data centre is an area that houses computer systems and related components.
Peaksaver
If you’re a Toronto Hydro business customer with central air conditioning you’ll get a $75 credit when you sign up!
Keep Cool
Toronto Hydro businesses can get a $25 Home Depot Gift Card when they drop off their old window air conditioners at participating Home Depot locations - be sure to check the website for dates and participating locations.

Enbridge Commercial Business Programs
Here are just some of the many Enbridge incentive programs for commercial business.
Commercial Energy Audit Program
Getting an energy audit is a smart move when you want to improve the energy efficiency of your building. Enbridge offers energy audit incentives of up to $5,000 per building or $15,000 for a group of buildings.
Monitoring & Targeting Energy Analysis
Contact Enbridge to see if this program is right for your business. This program may help you find an experienced energy management firm and provides incentives of up to a) half the cost of an energy analysis (up to $5,000), and b) a rate of $0.05/m3 saved based on 12 months of operational improvements (up to $30,000).
Steam Saver Program
Enbridge offers a series of programs to save steam energy. Learn more about the Steam Saver Programs.
Condensing Boiler Program
Boilers that use condensers save energy and money. If you are upgrading an existing system you may be eligible for an incentive. Before you start, get Enbridge to approve your project.

BOMA Toronto Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) Program
The goal of this $60 million fund is to reduce electricity demand by 150 MW over 3 years. The program is aimed at privately owned buildings in the City of Toronto that are greater than 25,000 sq ft. The CDM program offers incentives for annual energy savings, in kilowatt hours (kWh), peak summer demand reductions, in kilowatts (kW), and reducing tons of cooling (for geothermal projects)

The Ontario Power Authority (OPA) supports a variety of energy efficiency incentives for business.
Vehicles Powered by Alternative Fuels Tax Rebate
A Retail Sales Tax rebate is available on the purchase or lease of new or used vehicles, including hybrid electric vehicles, that operate on alternative fuels.
