2012 KIDS CAN! Clean Toronto Together – Photo & Video Contest
Meet our 2012 contest winners!
On Friday, April 20, 2012, students from across the city participated in the Clean Toronto Together clean-up campaign and pitched in to help make their school grounds and neighbourhoods squeaky clean.
As a contestant in the Kids Can Clean Toronto Together – Photo & Video contest, their next challenge was to be creative and send us photos or videos showing how their school was inspired by the schoolyard clean up experience for a chance to win great prizes!
The top three contest entries received cash prizes valued at $3,000 (1st prize), $1,500 (2nd prize), and $500 (3rd prize), generously donated by TD Friends of the Environment Foundation to further their school’s greening initiatives; as well as a pizza party for the whole school, courtesy of Pizza Pizza.
On June 8, 2012, the winners of Kids Can! Clean Toronto Together – Photo & Video Contest were announced. Now here’s your chance to see how they were inspired when they pitched in to Clean Toronto Together!
1st Prize: Knob Hill Public School - Our Job is to Save the Earth

2nd Prize: Dante Alighieri Academy – Music to Our Ears
Music to Our Ears is a video that uses ordinary objects found during a school yard clean up to create a musical rhythm.
3rd Prize: St. Antoine Daniel Catholic School – What Kind of Footprint Will You Leave?
