February is Black History Month. Since 1993, the City of Toronto has celebrated the achievements of Canadians of African descent with a poster series entitled Contributions of African Canadians. Each poster profiles the contributions of African Canadians, past and present, who have distinguished themselves in diverse endeavours.
Each poster is available for $9 (posters 1 through 5), $12 (posters 6 through 10), or $15 (poster 11). Prices are in Canadian dollars and include taxes. Each poster is approximately 20" x 30". Poster designs are developed by a staff committee within Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation in consultation with the community.
Posters are available for purchase throughout the year. For more information, or to order a poster, call 416-392-6642 or e-mail lyordan@toronto.ca.
