The City of Toronto is working with all our healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 453,932 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto.

Starting today, the City is expanding COVID-19 vaccine appointments to individuals born in 1951 and earlier at three of the City-operated mass immunization clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre and Scarborough Town Centre. On Monday, March 29, City-operated clinics at Malvern Community Recreation Centre and Mitchell Field Arena will open, followed by The Hangar location on April 5.

As of this morning, approximately 54,440 people have booked COVID-19 vaccination appointments at a City-run clinic. Eligible seniors can book appointments through the dark blue “Book a Vaccine” button on toronto.ca/covid-19 with the added option of booking by phone through the Provincial Vaccine Information Line at 1-888-999-6488.

The City and healthcare partners are working to operate approximately 29 clinics over the weekend, including mobile teams and on-site clinics, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework. These clinics are only vaccinating those in the priority groups who have confirmed appointments.

City of Toronto immunization clinics

  • Yesterday, held three clinics at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre and Scarborough Town Centre.
  • Vaccinated approximately 2,834 eligible seniors.
  • Over the weekend, will vaccinate 4,686 people born in 1951 or earlier. Only those with confirmed appointments will be vaccinated. People without appointments should not attend a City’s immunization clinic.

Unity Health Toronto

  • Yesterday, held three on-site clinics (St. Michael’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Health Centre and Providence Healthcare) and two mobile clinics.
  • Vaccinated 1,290 people who are priority hospital and community based healthcare workers, local pharmacy staff, local dentists and their staff, individuals 70 years and older, individuals living in congregate settings, members of the Indigenous community and shelter staff.
  • Over the weekend, will hold two on-site clinics.
  • Will vaccinate 1,100 people belonging to the same groups.

University Health Network

  • Yesterday, held four on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
  • Vaccinated 1,150 people who are healthcare workers and students, long-term care staff and essential caregivers, patients and individuals 75 years and older at the on-site clinics.
  • Vaccinated 170 individuals living in congregate settings and shelters at the mobile clinic.
  • Over the weekend, will hold three on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate 910 people who are healthcare workers, individuals 75 years and older, long-term care staff and essential caregivers, patients and individuals living in shelters.

Michael Garron Hospital – East Toronto Health Partners

  • Yesterday, held three on-site clinics (Thorncliffe Park Community Hub, Jimmie Simpson and MGH), two primary care clinics, a pop-up clinic and two mobile clinics.
  • Vaccinated 2,155 people who are healthcare workers, community members 75 years and older, individuals living in congregate settings, and individuals living in shelters or experiencing homelessness.
  • Over the weekend, will hold five on-site clinics (Thorncliffe Park Community Hub, Jimmie Simpson and MGH), three pop up clinics and a mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 2,417 people who are healthcare workers, individuals living in congregate settings and community members 75 years and older.

Humber River Hospital and North Western Toronto Ontario Health Team

  • Yesterday, held one on-site clinic and a mobile clinic.
  • Vaccinated 979 people who are healthcare workers, first responders, individuals 70 years and older, Indigenous adults, long-term care staff and essential caregivers, and adult recipients of home care services.
  • Over the weekend, will hold two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 1,330 people belonging to the same groups.

North York General Hospital – North York Toronto Health Partners

  • Yesterday, held two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
  • Vaccinated approximately 1,550 people who are hospital healthcare workers, patients and community members 80 years and older at the on-site clinics.
  • Vaccinated approximately 198 individuals who are 65 years and older living in congregate care settings and people living in shelters at the mobile clinic.
  • Over the weekend, will hold one on-site clinic.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 2,400 people who are hospital healthcare workers and 80 years and older.

Scarborough Health Network

  • Yesterday, held two on-site clinics and a pop-up clinic.
  • Vaccinated 1,400 people who are healthcare workers, residents 70 years and older and individuals living in congregate settings.
  • Over the weekend, will hold four on-site clinics a pop-up clinic.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 3,700 people belonging to the same groups.

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

  • Yesterday, held one on-site clinic and a mobile clinic.
  • Vaccinated 1,000 people who are community residents 75 years and older, Indigenous adults, adults who receive home care, healthcare workers and hospital staff.
  • Over the weekend, will hold one on-site clinic and a mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 1,500 people belonging to the same groups.

CAMH

  • Yesterday, held one on-site clinic.
  • Vaccinated approximately 240 individuals who are hospital healthcare workers, patients, community members 75 years and older, Indigenous adults and faith workers.

The City, Toronto Public Health, hospitals and community healthcare centres are all working together to get Torontonians vaccinated as quickly as possible. Getting vaccinated protects individuals, their close contacts and the community. As vaccine supply for the general population becomes widely available from the Government of Canada and the Province, more than 350 clinics, including pharmacies and mobile clinics across Toronto, will vaccinate people following the priority framework established by the Province.
