On July 23, 2018, City Council adopted a Status Report, as amended, which provided an update on the evaluation process, emerging directions of the Secondary Plan, and outlined a path forward together with the University and relevant stakeholders in the area. City Council endorsed the recommended principles for the area, which will guide the development of the Secondary Plan and Urban Design Guidelines, and directed staff to evaluate potential heritage resources in the area for possible inclusion on the City’s Heritage Register.

On January 17, 2017, Toronto and East York Community Council adopted a Preliminary Report on the Official Plan Amendment application for the area. The report provided background information on the proposal, and recommended that a community consultation meeting be held and that notice be given according to the regulations of the Planning Act.
